We , Lao people have to learn stand by our own legs, but Don't depend on Vietnam too much. -Vietnamese invests in  many Hydro power plants in Laos, for example :Sekong Hydro-Power Plant with a designed capacity of 80MW in Laos . -vietnamese govt support Laos to build the schools in Southern Laos. for example, friendship junior high school in Sekong, Primaly school in Thakhek, Khammuan and etc. -Vietnam supports Laos in Seagame2010, Helped Laos to build the seagame Dormitory ,the stadiums and security during the event. -Vietnam banks have opened in Laos, for example-Lao-viet Bank, Vietnam Military bank and etc -Vietnam helps Laos to improve the sport and education. the Vietnamese company hired a coach for Laos football at SEAGAME 2009 and hire a english man coach for national team to fight on the suzuki cup 2010. -Vietnamese invests on insurance section in Laos ( The Lane Xang Assurance Public Insurance Joint Stock Company (LAP), a joint venture between the Laos...

when  I was a boy , i loved to go  on the Mekong river bank to watch at the boat racing which starts from the bank of Ban HouyNangli,Thakhek to Ban HouysaKham opposite with WatKang Temple. me and other friends or some time with brothers went to the river bank and watching the racing there. The boat usually comes from different villages and districts around the province and some years the boat from the other provinces such as Bolikhamxay and savanakhet had participated.    Boat racing festival or ark phan sa festival for Buddhism and as for the year 2010, the festival will be starting around 23 th October  to 24 th October  . it is said that, Boat racing can help the nature to reduce the volume of water and  to celebrate  the end of raining season and welcome to the harvest season.
