Road contruction In shantou

Jin sha Road ( Jin Huan- Tian shan Road section)
Now the road under -construction and will be completed in the end of October according to the http://forum.st.gd.cn/News.php?ArtcleNo=1082273355&fPage=0
Jinsha East Road (Jin Huan-Tianshan Road section). it has been constructing on July.5
some lane of the road is still open. so the traffic may not convenient to use this road  when traveling in Shantou now.

Yuan xie Festival or well-known as Lantern Festival is a China＇s traditional festival. It is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month of the lunar year. Lantern Festival is one of the biggest holidays in China. Several days before Lantern Festival, people begin to make lanterns. Lanterns are made in the shape of different animals, vegetables, fruits and many, other things. While making lanterns people usually write riddles on lanterns. On the eve of Lantern Festival, all the lanterns are hung up. On Lantern Festival people go outside to have a look at the lanterns and guess the riddles on the lanterns. Perhaps you call see some wonderful folk performances,Dragon Dance and Yangko. Everything is very interesting and everyone is very happy. Our life is rich and varied.

LA MUSIC CAFE is on of the best Restuarant and Bar in Shantou, its original name was LA CAFE . it s located on Rongjiang Road next to the Zero Discotheque. Here you can find various kind of imported Beers from around the World ,Live music and Chinese +Western Food. I like some kind of beer here, even thought the price is so high. The food I have no clues to tell you, you 'd better try by yourself.

the Bejing olympic torch finally arrives in the last station of guangdong province, shantou

Running ceremony started in the early morning among of rains and people.

Small rain didnt stop a thousands of people to cheer the olympic torch.

No free plastic bag

June,1,2008

  the supermarkets , each shopping mall  will stop to provide free  plastic bag for the consumers . this rule will be starting to process in June,1 according to the shantou news... if it is real and can be processed in a city, i would say that it s gotta great way to reduce the pollution and save the energy and help the earth. i am a supporter .

Restaurants in shantou

actually there are some places where you can eat properly food in shantou, it depends on what you 'd like to eat in this city, shantou local food is not bad at all speicially the shop set around the street. sea food such as fish, shrimp, crap, lobster... i think it is not too expensive. shantou local people can't eat a spicy food, because they believe that it s shanghua when u eat a chili food here, shanghua means you feel unconfortable or sick, hurting on your body. shang means UP..hua means fire...easily speaking your fire is runing up when u eat spicy food in shantou, so cool tea is a best selective drink in the summer season.

1. HAI LEY coffee at the Tianshan Road next to Ktv happy day is one of the best so far, the restaurant was just re-decrorated in the begining of 2008. The main food are western food chinese and Asian
2. NARITA. a japanese food at the hengshan Road near the KFC, Main food are japanese style, i think it s quite good quality and quite tasty,but the price s quite high.
3. Hemu..at the Hengshan Road near kfc.
4. Golden gulf Hotel
5. Six stars restaurant at Jin Hua road.chinese food is the best.. Irish coffee i like best
6. Maritus hotel

Many places u can eat and enjoy your meal in shantou. Please recommand..

olympic torch relay in shantou ii

the event will kick off in may,10

totally 40 km and estimately 11 h 30 mn to complete the runing

the ceremoney will be hold in front of the longhu government square..

Gym Hall in SHANTOU

Biaoti Gym hall is located on the changping dong Lu, it s about 50m from Hengshan road
Biaoti , the gym equipments are alright, Runing and work out machines is not too bad..
become a member it costs 800 RMB for a year...
besides, u can participate the Boxing, Dancing.... i dont wana say that much, because it sounds like promote them, but i m sure go there and do some excercise much more better than nothing..
