I am working and assisting the european company to deal with chinese factory, my responsibility to control the quality of product which made in china and I have visited many textile factories around the duangdong proivince,especially the factories around shantou,chaozhou.

I just want to express myself about the textile factory in Guangdong, our product has placed and product in such a small and unorganized factory in the suburb of Shantou where we take a car every week to visit and check the quality and push the delivery. there is a factory in Chaoyang,the boss knows  the boss of trading company that work with us very well, they both companies have been cooperating such a long time to supply and help each other. the Chaoyang factory used to supply the polyester padding for winter cloth, but recent year our trading company has canceled and changed the supplier.

Chaoyang factory is consist of  more than 20 workers and all of them come from hubei province and they have a very close relationship with each other and with the Unit head in the factory . some of workers are very young and under age, according to the china labour law ,the factory is not allowed to hire a under age worker or Under 16 to work in the factory, otherwise the factory must be fined by the local labour government .

    In some client of children cloth such as Disney, c&a  are required to have a very good factory to produce the garment for them, normally the client hires special company such a Socam to inspect and check the condition of the factor that to produce for them,if the factory is qualified which will have a license to produce for a year something like that..

  let s back to Chaoyang factory, Chaoyang factory is obviously not qualified for those strict clients, because their condition is unacceptable and importantly they hire under age worker and they probably not provide a good contract for their worker too.

   every time we 'd come to this factory, the boss and staff  would usually prepare the set of fruit and kongfu tea, the fruit mostly are seasonal fruit and typical zone fruit such as Mango, Water melon ,star fruit and Strawberry  etc..and some sweet snack which is very sweet and full of sugar and something that guest never miss is that, Kongfu tea.  the chaoyang people like to drink Tie guan yin Tea and unlike the chaozhou people that they love only Dancong which is stronger and causes your stomach digests faster than normal.  Tieguanying Tea is green and it becomes more and more green when it was made several time. Chinese usually make it Maximum 8-9 time and then throw it away.. because the tea becomes tasteless after several times.

   the big boss always sit in his office and smoke his zhonghua tobacco with our driver and as soon as I entered the office , Sit down and please eat some fruits  says, the boss and then he started to prepare the kongfu tea ,Our driver sits next to him and was eating and smoking at the same time.  Hey, want a cigaret  said the boss and then he throws a cigaret to me.  Throwing something to guest is very impolite in our culture and i think chinese's culture is impolite as well e,so I had to have some skill to catch that cigaret like a goal keeper.  I have been to visit many places and factories in shantou and nearby shantou, I met many factory people and boss and most of them throw a cigaret for me, so I started to get used on it even if it is really impolite , but as long as chinese accept that way, I have to force myself to pick up that cigaret.

   I met many factory boss in china, all of them smoke their zhonghua which it costs more than 45 Renminbi per a package ,the taste is actually not very special and very light compared to tobacco such as 555 and Marcbolo ,  perhaps the brand of this cigaret is popular and it is said that Mao zedong smoked this brand when he was alive . it happened several times that the  factory invited us to have a dinner or lunch together. I personally love chinese food so much and I would say no if they 'd invite me ,especially the local food of chaozhou and Duangdong. one day, the  director of a factory in Chaozhou invited us to have a lunch after we inspected the goods, the table was covered by thin white plastic and the plates ,cup, spoon were covered by the special plastic which it is said to be sterilized before placing on the table, the boss started to order many food that i have no idea what were,   the waitress came over with some cups of kongfu teas and then followed up with the fruits, why was fruit served first and the main food?  my chinese workmates started to drink a tea and followed with fruits which was quite sweet and  I just followed them and ate those sweet fruits.

  the main foods were served on the table while i was eating and drinking the fruit and tea, the popular food in chaozhou is,White carrot bing, Beihe fried with Jin buhuan and fish sauce , the goose s liver, the goose s wing and leg. the whole chicken was streamed and cut into small pieces and eat together with chaozhou particular sauce, the  short-boiled youyu and shrimps which were served with namsom and garlic  and then everyone started to each very fast, Normally chinese never eat rice together with those food, the rice normally will serve in the end of meal and normally they will eat with something salty vegetable or fried vegetable. the fried vegetable will serve afterward.  every time ,I eat with chinese  i have to order a bowl of rice first so I can eat with the food, because i don't get used to eat meat, fish and every food and then eat the rice.

   Eating is very important for every chinese, treating guest or welcome guest is very important and take into priority  in chinese culture, chinese will serve guest anything if guest wants it , especially the client, so there is a chinese sentence written,, ke hu shi shangdi which mean that, the client is a god ,that's why chinese are successful in doing a business.

   Chinese guangdong and chinese hubei are so different, for example  the many chinese from Guangdong province especially from shantou,chaozhou area love to drink tea very much, drinking tea is like the european love to drink coffee in the morning , noon and night. unlike the hubei people they don't drink tea as habit , what I have been and met people in Wuhan, Tianmen,jingshan and around Wuhan, the people love to drink Baijiu and Play Majiang . baijiu is like Gin and its smell is very strong and it is nice smell for chinese who likes it, as for me, it is very  stronger compared to another Baijiu in my country or Western Baijiu.
   Many Hubei people like to play Majiang on their leisure time, Playing a majiang is like a kind of betting money, it seems that people can play it legally in the restaurant or some Majiang place, the betting normally is depend on how rich you are.. sometimes  people lose their money on Majiang almost 2000-3000 Yuan for a night.
