The energy is an essential fundamental factor of social-economic development of the country, therefore,If we want the economic growth, social development, people are well-being, and the country is flourishing, First of all, is to develop the energy. “ If there is no energy, it is impossible for a social, economic development of any country due to the energy is an essential booster for processes such as industrial, agricultural, services and another sector which are in need of energy, “ says Mr. Viraphon Viravong , Minister for Ministry of Energy and Mining.An Electricity is a part of energy that is essential due to it is modern energy, and it was already processed , and it has an important role in the social-economic development . Therefore , Lao PDR has determined to select the hydropower electricity much more than other energies, because it has the potential to boost the economic growth as well as reducing the poverty of Lao people.
Furthermore, the hydropower is sustainable, continually active energy, unharmed environment, and free carbon emission.Lao PDR is fortunate country due to there are much electricity powers from Hydropower , however , if we develop precisely , it will boost the economic to become more and more growth, the social development has an improvement and the people’s living condition will be improved, the country will be a prosperous and full of light.It will produce as a commodity to export in addition to improving and facilitating the living condition of people in order to collect the fund to assure the continued economic growth.There are 38 built and include under construction electricity plants which generate 6.365 Megawatt in 2015, and the plants will be built more than 19 projects which generate more than 3500 Megawatt from present to 2020s” Added Mr.Ministersource: KPL
